Masterprogramme in International Social Welfare and Health Policy

Key features of the MIS programme:

  • studystart: early September each year
  • totalling 90 ECTS credits

The programme is designed to qualify candidates for

  • positions in social and health services that require the knowledge and ability to undertake the systematic documentation and evaluation of social and health service programmes, and the knowledge of international and comparative studies within health and social welfare,
  • employment in agencies or voluntary organisations engaged in international health and social welfare programmes, developmental assistance, etc.,
  • teaching positions in educational programmes for social workers and those working in related health professions, and
  • research positions at lower levels within the same fields.

General requirements
General requirement for admission into the programme is the completion of three years of college or university level education in social work, child care and welfare, political science, sociology or related social sciences, in nursing, physiotherapy or some other related and equivalent education.

In addition, applicants must have two years work experience from social welfare or health-related jobs.
